Legal Translation Case Studies

In 2005 and 2006, Global Translations provided a wide range of translations for the Deutscher Anwaltverein in Berlin (German Bar Association, see http://anwaltverein.de). This included a translation of Crystal Clear, New Perspectives for the Canadian Bar Association from English to German; a 100 page paper titled The Netherlands Bar Association in society from English to German; marketing material from German to English for the German Bar Association membership catalog.
Global Translations provided over 150,000 words of Hebrew to English translation to a leading patent law firm, in a patent infringement case in Israel between Genzyme and Transkaryotic Therapies Inc. (TKT). Global Translations was retained by the TKT (defendant) law firm, with TKT eventually winning the case in 2006. At the peak of the trial, when the TKT legal team in the US needed to read the court decisions in order to prepare their response, Global Translations provided approximately 20,000 words in 24 hours using a team of six translators and an editor.
In 2004 and 2005, Global Translation provided legal translation of real estate contracts to French and Italian for DeLageLanden, an international company offering equipment leasing and asset financing.
